September is Finally Here

Arson Families and Friends,
Let me apologize in advance for not updating you in awhile.  It's been a very busy time for the battery.  1stSgt Ellington and I just returned from our trip out to FOB Edi and had a great time.  We were able to promote a few Marines before coming back to FB Saenz.  All of your Marines are doing very well.  Here are a few updates: The Marines at FB Saenz recently had ice cream for the first time in country.  Chow in both positions has been getting better and access to Gatorade, sodas, etc. has increased.  The Marines are excited that we are on the backside of our deployment, however, for some it's bitter sweet.  The temperature has started to slowly decrease and it's bearable during mid-day.  Mail has been getting delivered frequently to both positions and consistently.  The Marines are still extremely motivated and have been performing exceptionally well.  I am proud of each and every Marine in Arson for their dedication and love for this country.  The commanding officer for the unit that is replacing us has already visited the Marines at both positions.  He was extremely impressed with how hard and how well your Marines have worked and performed.  I'll be first to tell you that his battery his has very large shoes to fill.  I look forward to seeing all of you at our homecoming in less than 3 months.  Arson on point.
Respectfully,
Capt Lee
